Our website

The purpose of the website www.mamajournals.com is to inform customers of our products and services and is for general information. We endeavour to keep all pages up-to-date and correct however we reserve the right to change or withdraw any information at any time.

Our website may contain links to other third party websites however we cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other sites even if you access them using links from our website.

When you use our website we may obtain personal information about you, for example, when you place an order, contact us via our enquiry form or if you sign up to our mailing list to receive newsletters. 

Your Personal Information

The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address and information regarding what pages you accessed and when. We may use this information to:

  • seek your views or comments on the products and services we provide;

  • notify you of changes to our products and services;

  • send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you. These may include information about new products, offers, latest news and other promotions of our business

To protect your personal information, we follow industry standards and take reasonable precautions to ensure it is treated securely, for example, any sensitive information like credit and debit card details are encrypted using SSL (when you are on a secure page a lock icon will be shown next to the websites URL).

As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.

We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email unless you have given your prior consent. Our newsletter emails may contain tracking facilities, such as information on the opening of emails or clicking of links. However this information is used only to improve our future email campaigns and make these emails more relevant and useful to you.

You can change your marketing preferences at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email you receive from us, or by contacting us at hello@mamajournals.com. You can also email us to change your email address, or if any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date. 

Online Orders

Our online shop is hosted on Squarespace Inc. They provide the online e-commerce platform which enables us to sell our products and process your orders. By placing an order you are consenting to your personal information to be collected and stored through the Squarespace databases on a secure server behind a firewall.

If you purchase a product from us, your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processors e.g. PayPal, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. They have their own privacy policies that we can not be held responsible for.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then your credit card data is stored and processed by Stripe. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your purchase transaction. Social Media

Any interactions made through external social media platforms with Mama Journals are subject to the privacy policies and terms & conditions of each specific social media platform. Mama Journals will not ask for personal information through social media platforms and recommends that you contact us via email to discuss any sensitive information.
